Senate of Fools and Arizona’s Jackboot Governor

1440.jpg

Just coming here to pick peaches?

When individuals simply move from one country to another, this is a phenomenon far different than immigration. Immigration may be controlled politically, i.e., restricted, encouraged, planned, and allotted on an annual or ethnic basis, preferably with policies that welcome the more gifted and talented of the world’s population. What the U.S. is currently experiencing is not immigration, but unrestrained migration of the most dependent, least qualified, uneducated, incapable and socially undisciplined.

While migration is a natural phenomenon, in extreme numbers it becomes a national catastrophe. Instead of assimilating into the culture into which a people moves, as happens with immigration, when an entire ethnic population flees one area and moves into another area, it profoundly changes the political, cultural, and economic make up of the receiving country or area. This phenomenon has happened numerous times throughout human history and never to the advantage of the indigenous population. Ask the American Indians.

Islam is not an Urban Legend

Islam2.JPG

Most urban legends are framed as stories, often with plots and characters. The compelling nature of the story and its elements of mystery, horror, fear, or humor are part of what makes these tales so attractive. Many legends are presented as warnings or as a cautionary tale, sometimes about horrific situations that might affect or injure a lot of people - if they were true. If one hears such a story, and believes it, a person might feel compelled to warn friends and family.

Many Internet users find unnecessary emails generated by the propagation of urban legends an annoyance, and at the same time consider the sender to be foolish, having been suckered by the story.

Well, Islam is not an urban legend.

Egalitarianism, uber alles

Letter to Joe Crummy (KFYI 550 AM)
Phoenix, Arizona
February 18, 2006

Joe, I listened intently to your radio broadcast Friday afternoon, February 16th and thought your opposition points were sincere in regards to the proposed AZ legislation that would restrict political discourse in AZ classrooms. With the same facts that you have, my conclusions are somewhat different. Please indulge me for a moment.

What should be taught in the classroom is the subject material published by the school, in the course catalog, expected by the student, and not material solely chosen by the instructor. Isn’t that a novel concept!

Sirens of Liberalism

englehart.jpg

I've come to understand, and it took longer than it should have because it's incredulous, that Democrats truly (sincerely) believe the three branches of American government are the Democratic Party, the Republican Party, and the liberal courts. It seems clear to me after years of observation, and too many conversations with devout socialists (who aspire to mind-numbing levels of egalitarianism), that Democrats see issues in a single-minded framework, i.e., an attempt by one branch (Republicans) to usurp the powers of another branch (the liberal courts), and so, see the Democratic Party's role as properly protecting the Constitution.

America Held Hostage

NG.jpg

We can wield a sharp knife to cut someone severely, and if it is our intention to do harm, we will become a murderer. We can perform an almost identical knife action as a surgeon and it can be a life-saving act. Because the motivation of a surgeon is to heal and save a life, the intention is different. The act of cutting a human being is the same, yet because of its purpose and the skill of the surgeon, it is a compassionate act instead of a terrible, unforgivable act rendering a slow and painful death to the victim.

Make no mistake, it can be the same for a nation. It begs the question: Is our nation suffering from some kind of life-threatening cancer lurking in our existing immigration laws? Has a case been made that unless this cancer is cut out cleanly the first time, the immigration laws will kill us all? Will America die without modification or elimination of our immigration laws, laws which arguably constitute our first line of defense and function as our nation's immune system?

As you know, Congress is doggedly determined to perform a surgical operation on our nation’s body. What kind of surgery does Congress intend and will it be performed to cut out the cancer or as a mad scientist to further impair the immune system? For that matter, which is the cancer – the growing number of invading illegal aliens, or the courts, or the Congress itself? Is the cancer our existing immigration laws or some unspoken combination? Or, as liberal politicians and the main stream media contend, are racist Americans the problem? The latter view is widely held by those who directly benefit from illegal migration and the intentional non-enforcement of the immigration laws.

What is the reality American citizens deal with on a daily basis? A huge (overwhelming) majority of American citizens believe we are being confronted on our own streets by a gang of foreign thugs wielding knives that have as their criminal intent to injure us and our families, steal our jobs, material possessions, children's education, medical care, culture and earned social benefits?

The Race to the Bottom

muslim victory.jpg

In the race to the bottom for votes to win office, or to preserve themselves in office, it would be difficult to out-run Republicans as they pander to the Hispanic vote by refusing to control our southern border against an invasion by millions of illegal aliens. Democrats are trying and they may soon pass Republicans in their cynical pursuit of political power.

At the Democrats' "winter meeting" (they used to call it a "retreat," before that word conjured up negative implications about the war), a clergyman was asked to deliver the invocation. He was Husham Al-Husainy of the Karbalaa Islamic Education Center, a Shi'ite mosque in Dearborn, Mich.

According to a transcript published on the Website HotAir.com, Al-Husainy offered a prayer with anti-American and anti-Israel undertones: "We thank you God, to send us your messages through our father Abraham and Moses and Jesus and Mohammed. Through you, God, we unite. So guide us to the right path. The path of the people you bless, not the path of the people you doom. Help us God to liberate and fill this earth with justice and peace and love and equality. And help us to stop the war and violence, and oppression and occupation…"

The U.S. Dollar is Toast.

superdollar.jpg

REITS rocket, Asia up, market unchanged, VOL unchanged. Sweet.

For three years I have tried to keep politics out of my commentary. To the extent that it affects the dollar, I can’t – I apologize in advance.

You might have heard about the “IPOD law” on the news yesterday. For the benefit of readers overseas, a New York State lawmaker has proposed banning the use of IPODs, cell phones, or Blackberrys while crossing the street.

I have been walking to work for years while listening to music without getting doused by a New York City bus, dragging my lifeless limbs down Eighth Avenue. So how does my listening to Intergalactic by the Beastie Boys on the way to work affect anyone else? It doesn’t. This is a matter of the state telling you what to do for your own good (and if you know what’s good for you).

How Could 50 States Be Wrong?

America's founders did not intend for there to be a separation of God (church) and state, as liberalism ideologues, federal courts, the main stream media, Hollywood and the ACLU falsely proclaim. To believe otherwise ignores the evidence shown by the fact that all 50 states acknowledge God in their state constitutions. Believe what you will. Facts simply are, and always will be, the essence of the truth-teller.

Alabama 1901, Preamble.
We the people of the State of Alabama, invoking the favor and guidance of Almighty God, do ordain and establish the following Constitution ...

Alaska 1956, Preamble.
We, the people of Alaska, grateful to God and to those who founded our nation and pioneered this great land …

Arizona 1911, Preamble.
We, the people of the State of Arizona, grateful to Almighty God for our liberties, do ordain this Constitution...

Arkansas 1874, Preamble.
We, the people of the State of Arkansas, grateful to Almighty God for the privilege of choosing our own form of government ...

California 1879, Preamble.
We, the People of the State of California, grateful to Almighty God for our freedom …

Not Retreads or Retards

Americans Want New Presidential Blood, not 'Retreads!'

Despite consistent polls showing that 70-80% of Americans want immigration laws enforced and the border secured, most 2008 Presidential hopefuls pay no attention to Americans at all. Candidates like Guiliani, Romney and McCain are nothing but "Retreads" parroting the tired Bush Party Line telling ad nauseum the hardships faced by illegal aliens living in the US, and insist on forcing amnesty for illegals on resisting Americans.

Of course, Retread candidates don't call them illegal aliens--they use "undocumented immigrants" or "unauthorized workers" or some other sympathy-generating politically-correct and politically-expedient term. Even George Bush in Tuesday's SOTU speech still clings to oxymoron terms like "illegal immigrants." (And how can an immigrant--who by definition in federal immigration law 8 USC 1101 has a valid visa--be "illegal?")

Retreads carefully evade mentioning the damage done to middle and low-income Americans by the illegal alien invasion. (Yes Virginia, that's what it really is--an invasion. The 5,000 illegal aliens daily breaking into the US equal a regiment, and each month it's the equivalent of a field army. That's more troops than we have in Iraq or that landed in Normandy on D-Day in 1944!).

They Ought to Take Us Old Guys

BS13.jpg

I'm over 60 years of age and the Armed Forces say I'm too old to track down terrorists. (You can't be older than 35 to join the military.) These liberals have got the whole thing backwards. Instead of sending 18-year-olds off to fight, they ought to take us old guys.

You shouldn't be able to join the military until you're at least 35. For starters, researchers say 18-year-olds think about sex every 10 seconds. I did until I was 35. Old guys only think about sex a couple of times a day, leaving more than 28,000 additional seconds per day to concentrate on the enemy. Young guys haven't lived long enough to be cranky, and a cranky soldier is a very, very dangerous soldier. If we can't kill the enemy, we'll complain them into submission. "My back hurts! I'm hungry! Where's the remote? Why isn’t this beer cold?"

An 18-year-old hasn't had a legal beer yet.

Strong Message To Follow

Political Correctness (PC) is a illogical doctrine fostered by a delusional minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a maggot or a cockroach by the clean end.

Use and Capabilities of US Military Power in the 21st Century

In Myamoto Musashi’s classic “Book of Five Rings”, he points out that to win, a warrior must know his enemies strengths and weakness’s. He must also know his own strengths and weakness’s. If a warrior fails to know both of these things, he will lose. The United States usually goes into battle knowing our adversary’s strengths and weakness’s, and our own strengths. We do not, however, like to create a strategy which acknowledges our weakness. We must create a new strategic posture for the 21st Century which finds its inspiration in a full understanding of both our needs and our capabilities. Those capabilities include acknowledging the capacity of our national politics to sustain conflict operations in different types of conflict.

It is not yet a safe enough world for the US to dismantle its heavy military units and replace them with cheaper, lightly armed, counter-guerilla forces. Nor is it wise for the US to attempt using its traditional military structure as the primary tool in counter terrorism. We need a new force structure, and more importantly, a new engagement doctrine, designed to meet the new defense needs of the country.
