About Red State Patriot

Mission Statement

Red State Patriot (redstatepatriot.com) is oriented toward conservative economics and politics, focusing on current issues, actions or lack of actions of the Administration, Congress and the Judiciary, federal agencies, state governments, and specific corporations. Of particular relevance is the future implication of those issues and actions to all Americans.

The intent of the website is to feature original thought gleaned either from published articles or original essays prepared by people with a coherent grasp of the world of politics and the economy, international or domestic.

Submissions

The invitation to you to participate is offered with respect. The door is yours to open or close. As you would expect, neither is there any requirement to participate nor will there be remuneration for anyone involved in the operation of the website or any intellectual contributor.

The website will be without advertisers of any kind. No information of a personal nature gleaned from the operation of this website is for sale at any price.

A special invitation is extended to members of the U.S. Armed Forces and their families, whether active duty, reserve, retired or annuitants. A similar invitation is extended to all elected representatives of government.

The sole endeavor of redstatepatriot.com is one of giving to other Americans the best of what you have to offer, i.e., your knowledge and insight rendered from a vantage point of education, achievement, life experiences, personal integrity, faith, patriotism and common sense.

Submissions based on conservative philosophy will be most appreciated, utilizing facts wherever possible, footnoted where appropriate and attribution whenever applicable.

Submissions should be without expectation of reward other than knowing that as a citizen of the United States of America you are helping your fellow Americans and those in positions of responsibility to shape national and state policy and defend the Constitution of the United States.

If you desire to join the fray, we welcome your participation.

Preferrably, send an email with your original full-length essay as an email attachment to redstatepatriot@hughes.net. Provide as much of the following information that you feel is reasonable and meets your comfort level: Article title, author’s first and last name, date and short synopsis (reader teaser). At the conclusion, include essay notes, abbreviated curriculum vitae as appropriate, word count and author’s email address.

Due to the volume of submissions and staff limitations, please do not expect that you will receive a response to a submission. Please accept this statement of appreciation for your participation and patriotism.

General guidelines:

1. All submissions will be thoughtfully considered. Submissions not published will not be returned with comment or explanation.
2. Essays should be grounded in fact or reasonable opinion, not misinformation or emotional bias.
3. Submissions are most effective when they contribute to an intellectual exchange of ideas on an international issue of strategic interest to the United States, or a national issue typically the venue of either Congress, the Executive or the Judiciary.
4. If pointedly focused on the State of Arizona and its elected representatives, take your best shot.
5. Submissions should be in good taste and without either profanity or provocative language.
6. Submissions are most effective when they do not engage in personal attacks. For example, it is not desirable to call a person a liar even if patently obvious. It is far better to quote the person and objectively document the perceived error in fact, judgment or logic.
7. Submissions should be an original intellectual exercise, even if in response to or motivated by the submission of another author or main stream media article. If you choose to address an article or essay already published or posted, please provide appropriate quotations and a link to the original article. Please focus on the author’s facts and assertions.
8. Submissions without attribution have no credibility.
9. Redstatepatriot.com reserves the right to correct faulty grammar and spelling and redact inflammatory rhetoric before posting.
